Trancoso Brazil
I have been photographing Trancoso, Bahia, Brazil, since the mid-2000s, when my parents settled there. After spending a year living in the village before moving to London, I returned every year, often for a few months at a time. Over nearly two decades, I have photographed its people, beaches, traditions and everyday life. This personal archive is a portrait of the Trancoso I have come to know and love - its atmosphere, beauty and ordinary moments, beyond the postcard image of the place.

Party Vibes, Grainy Style
Moments from an art club venue in East London, captured with high-contrast and a distinct vibe. The client specifically asked for that flash photography, analogue feel, and grainy aesthetic, and I loved bringing their stylistic vision to life! By bouncing the flash off the ceiling, I achieved that bold, yet comfortable, 'flash-kissed' result. These memories were a joy to create. 2023

Live Art Performance
'All in Which You Live' was a collective performance and ritual by White Sol Studio’s artist, bridging past and future. Participants were invited to honour their ancestors, connect with nature, and set intentions for the future - asking: what kind of ancestor do you want to be? I loved capturing the creative energy of the performance and seeing how people engaged with the ritual.

Online
In 2018, I photographed people moving through Central London, absorbed in their phones and increasingly connected to a world beyond the one immediately around them. At the time I was becoming frustrated by the feeling of competing with a screen for someone’s attention, even in the middle of a conversation. I started photographing that strange tension between being together and being elsewhere.
