Trancoso Brazil

I have been photographing Trancoso, Bahia, Brazil, since the mid-2000s, when my parents settled there. After spending a year living in the village before moving to London, I returned every year, often for a few months at a time. Over nearly two decades, I have photographed its people, beaches, traditions and everyday life. This personal archive is a portrait of the Trancoso I have come to know and love - its atmosphere, beauty and ordinary moments, beyond the postcard image of the place.
